Artist, author, and educator Juliette Aristides will present an insightful and illuminating discussion of her latest book Lessons in Classical Drawing: Essential Techniques From Inside the Atelier. Aristides will cover an approachable breakdown of the classical realist drawing process, equipping anyone with the primary tools and processes to create beautiful drawings. Part of this discussion will involve showing several of the artworks and illustrations featured in the book from historical and contemporary artists who exemplify Aristides' concepts. During the last two hours, Aristides will put the book's fundamental drawing principles into practice by conducting a tonal drawing from the life model. A Q+A session will follow.
